Simplifying Data
An interactive dashboard for managers
Overview
Simplicity is a data analysis startup that focuses on handling row data, simplifying it and working with product portfolio managers to make managing their portfolio easier and more efficient.
I’m helping them build an online dashboard that’ll cut cost/ time for their clients.
Team-Solo project I Time-1 week sprint, October 2020
Who is our user
The product portfolio manager role usually falls under the R&D department in bigger companies. It’s a practice designed to manage all aspects of the products your company sells. This involves evaluating:
Their performanceIdentifying risks and opportunities
Prioritizing high-value products
Optimizing resource allocation across the portfolio
This practice aligns the product portfolio with business strategies to achieve target revenue and profitability.
Knowing the problem before we start
As of this moment there’s no live interactive dashboard for the portfolio managers to work with. It all has to go through the data analysis people and the tools they use which can be a bit complicated.
Our aim
The dashboard that we’re building would help the portfolio managers to have easier/ quicker access to their data without having to reach out to the data analysis specialist every time a number changes or an update is required. This translates into time & cost savings that also leads to better decisions when they have few less things to worry about.
